For buyers

Payments
Within three (3) business days of purchasing an item, a buyer must submit the full purchase price, plus any applicable taxes (read more about taxes in California and taxes in other states) and a transaction fee into a secure bank account. Payments can be made by wire transfer or certified bank check (U.S. customers only).

Wire transfers are the recommended and fastest payment method eliminating the waiting period associated with checks.

 

A secure bank account is used for two reasons:
1. To assure the buyer doesn't pay the seller for items before receiving it and finalizing the transaction
2. To assure sellers that they will receive full payment upon the buyer's receipt and acceptance of the item

 

Once the buyer's payment has posted, TruckPlanet will notify both the buyer and the seller that the money has been deposited. At this point, the buyer will be provided with the location of the item and the seller must release it for shipment. After the item is delivered and accepted, TruckPlanet will authorize release of the funds to the seller.

 

Title Transfers and Vehicle Registrations
TruckPlanet will send the buyer the title/titling document within fifteen (15) business days of the close of the auction.

 

TruckPlanet provides vehicle buyers with a transferable title. We only provide registration services for vehicles bought by residents of Florida where we are a licensed Vehicle Dealer through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Read more in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

For sellers
TruckPlanet walks sellers through every step of the selling cycle including post-auction transfer of title and payment.

 

Payments
1. We collect payment - After the auction, the buyer places funds into a secure bank account managed by us specifically for the Beneficiary of Sellers.
2. The seller releases the item - Once the buyer's funds are deposited, the seller will receive a notification to release the item for shipment. The buyer will receive a transportation authorization to arrange transportation.
3. The seller gets paid - The Final Sales Price less our commission and fees are remitted to the seller within fifteen (15) business days after the date of sale.

 

Title Transfers and Vehicle Registrations
Once you've signed the consignment agreement, you will need to send us the title/titling document for the item if it has one. If your original vehicle title is not at TruckPlanet prior to auction your item cannot be sold. As the seller you should sign off the seller portion of the vehicle title/titling document. Please do not complete the new buyer section of the title as "TruckPlanet". After auction, TruckPlanet will complete the buyer information.

 

I don't have a title/titling document for my vehicle, can I still sell it through TruckPlanet's auction?

No. Title eligible items must have either a transferable title/titling document or Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO) to be sold through TruckPlanet.
